Description Reviews The MINI Cooper N12/16 PCV Hose is used to suck out the unwanted vapors in your crank case. PCV stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation; it was learned a very long time ago that without it, your engine can explode. The problem with this one is the o-rings can leak and cause a vacuum leak. We have seen both leaks at the valve cover and the intake manifold. But the end at the manifold is much harder to see. Also if your aftermarket intake is installed incorrectly, is a bad design, or comes loose, it can wear a hole into the line. This can happen even with the protective covering that it comes with. It's a problem we see here from time to time. While it's not a widespread problem, it's enough for us to keep one on hand when needed. This fits all Gen 2 MINI Coopers with the N12 or N16 Engine.
