Description Reviews The MINI Cooper Belt Tensioner made by INA is just what you need to fix a failed unit on your R50 or R52 Gen 1 Cooper. This is the same part that MINI sells you for a lot more than we can! INA gets the part, mills off the MINI Part number, and gives it a new number. But they pass a huge price saving on to you. This part is the same in every way to the current one that is on your car. We don't see a lot of these fail overall because of a much better design than the Cooper S unit; but if you seeing a strange wear on the belt, you need to look into it. We had a Cooper in the shop and went to replace the belt...when we de-tensioned the belt tensioner, it stayed up with no pin in it...O.K. we found the problem!
