DDMWorks Gen 2 Cooper Intake! That's right, an intake just for the cooper owners of the Gen 2 cars! This intake will fit all the Gen 2 cars like the R55 Cooper Clubman, the R56 Cooper, & the R57 Cooper Convertible, as well as the R58 Coupe & the R59 Roadster.

Hands down, the best Cooper intake on the market! It installs very cleanly with basic hand tools and once you are done it looks like it should have been there all along. You can expect to see around a 5HP increase, but you will fall in love with the new throaty, yet subtle, sound your Cooper will produce from under the hood! Comes in a tough black powdered coat that will last the life of your car; but if you feel like making it custom, it can be painted to match your car.

Fits all Gen 2 Coopers, no mater what motor you have. Comes with all the needed hardware and install instructions, as well as a high flow reusable filter element.

Note: Only fits Generation 2 Cooper's. Find the generation 1 Cooper Intakes here.

Thank you Detroit Tuned for your help in selection. Great quality product with an easy install. Definitely added some pep and added an entire different sound to a 2012 Base model Mini. Would recommend both this product and Dtroit Tuned.

    WOW!

The install was pretty simple. I'm a novice mechanic and the instructions weren't as step-by-step as I would have liked (almost "Step 1: take out these two bolts, Step 2: complete the rest of the installation!") and the included hardware was short one nut, but I was able to figure it out pretty easily and sort the hardware issue with a quick trip to Pep Boys.

After the install, I started my Clubman to make sure I didn't somehow mess something up. I didn't drive anywhere mind you, just started and idled for a bit. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, sound-wise, but I was disappointed that there wasn't a noticeable difference in sound between the factory box and the DDMWorks.

Then the next morning I drove to work. Driving up my street I noticed a new, low sound from my engine and said to myself, "ok, THERE's the sound." I stopped at the intersection at the end of the street, then gunned it to cross.

The growl-and-then-roar that erupted from my car caught me completely off guard. WOW. I couldn't believe how absolutely bad-ass my car sounds now and the grin stayed on my face for the rest of the day.

I guess there's a lot of debate about performance gains from CAIs, and if there is one, it's subtle enough for me to not notice (jury's still out on any fuel economy gain so far). The sound, though! Nothing subtle about that!

If you're a Cooper owner who loves the sound of a race car, I gleefully recommend this intake!
