Craven Speed Oil Dipstick Gen 1

The Craven Speed Oil Dipstick for Gen 1 starts off with a rod of 6061 aircraft aluminum. They machine this into a ergonomic pull handle with sculpted curves and two rubber o-rings to ensure a full seal in your oil dip stick tube. Then these handles are powder coated in our favorite color, red, so it will look just right in your engine bay.

Next but not least, they evaluated materials for the stem as many dipsticks are made from flattened steel, but why? Because it's cheap and easy; but that is not how they do things. Besides, we all know that when you scrape your metal dipstick down the metal tube that you create metal shavings...that is the last thing you need in your oil.

Specs:

• The handle is lathe crafted 6061 Aircraft aluminum and is powder coated red. 
• The shaft is flexible spring made from 302 stainless steel, this makes the trip down the snaking tube so much smoother than the stock dipstick.
• The bottom sinker with the oil level meter on it is all stainless. They have cut grooves into the sinker and they each catch a bit of oil. 
• You can see from the photo above that it is obvious which one has been dipped into oil and which one hasn't.
• The lowest groove indicates you need to add approx. 1 quart of oil, the middle point indicates about 1/2 quart of oil, and the top groove means your oil is full.
